Portraits: Kari's Maternity Shoot

Tim and I are at that stage in life where most everyone is getting engaged, married, or having their first kid. Tim's highschool friend Byron and his beautiful fiancee Kari are not only getting married, but they have a sweet bundle of babies on the way. Yes, I said babies.
This is Kari and she has two sweet little babies who are about to arrive in the next few weeks.
Byron and Kari are having both a boy and girl.
Twice the love, and twice the fun.
Life is such a beautiful gift, I can't image how it feels to know you are about two bring two sweet souls into the world.
Congrats again Byron and Kari! I pray all goes well until the babies come and thank you so much for letting me capture such a special time in your lives.
Kari, you are one beautiful gal. You actually made it look easy to be carrying twins, though I know it's no walk in the park. It was wonderful meeting you and Byron! I can't wait to share more photos from your shoot!

Hope you all had a great weekend friends!

My 2012 Favorites

Here we are again, at the end of another year. It's been a full and fast year and I am so thankful for all the wonderful people I've met while capturing memories, even all the old friends I've reconnected with as married life approaches us. I'm thankful for all the places that I've been to and all the beautiful sights that I've seen, and most of all I'm thankful for the gift of photography.

I've been reminded so much this year that this life is way too short,
so the weight of importance of my memory keeping has increased by the tons.

With that being said here are most of my favorites from my shoots and weddings through out the year.
There are definitely a million more photos that I love and adore that are not on this post, but I had to stop somewhere. Most of these photos are simply my favorites and came with ease. But some of these mean so much more to me because they took alot of blood, sweat, and tears. I've literally fallen off of chairs, braced 50mph winds, braved ice cold weather, shot in the rain, sang and danced like a crazy person, and raced storms to get some of the specific images. These are my labor of love.

Thank you to everyone who's give my love and passion for photography ... importance.
You all have blessed my life more than you know and made this year unforgettable.

Teaser: Stephen & Mayra Maternity Shoot

The sun and the weather were tailor made for today's shoot.
My dear friend Mayra and her love Stephen are about to be mom and dad and today I did a photoshoot for these soon to be parents.
They have a little baby girl coming in about 3 more months, though you can hardly tell Mayra has a baby in there .. she's still tiny as ever.
It doesn't feel like too long ago Mayra and I were in middle school hanging out at her house on a lazy afternoon, but now we're all grown up. Still friends and still silly.
Mayra and Stephen congrats!!! I'll be praying for little baby Audrey to get here safely and for her mama too. Thanks for sharing your evening with me and for bearing with me today even if I sounding like a dying horse because I am sick. You guys are amazing!

Maternity: I'm going to be an Aunt any day now

My big sis and her husband are preggers, and baby boy is coming any day now.
We're all super excited, most expecially my sister.
If there's one thing we've all been certain about is that my sister was made to be a mom. She's been babysitting since she was 10 and is amazing with children at any age. And though she might not feel it right now, she is one little hot mama.
Both her and Terrence are so excited preparing for their first little baby boy. They are nesting like crazy, setting up Noah's room for when he gets here and waiting patiently for his when he gets here.

Little baby Noah is such a blessed little boy and he's not even here yet.
I'm still soaking it in little by little that my sister & Terrence are having a whole person any day now. A little baby that'll become a bigger boy. One who'll probably play sports, or like trucks, or trains, or dinosaurs. A little boy who'll grow up to be a teenager, go to high school, who'll start liking girls {hopefully not too soon}, one day go to college .. or like his aunt, maybe not go to college and instead pursue his dream job ... only God knows his future. But what I know is that, that little boy is gonna be a whole person, who is going to be loved, blessed and cared for each and every single day.
Sister and Brother dearest, I'm soo excited for you both. God has blessed you both so much in your first year of being married, I know there are so many more blessings to come for your beautiful, growing little family. I know you both will be awesome parents and I love you three so much.
